Beautifully recently restored XVIIth century parish church estate, the villa is located on top of an hill, in Umbria Tuscany border.
The property consists of a Main building and One Cottage, surrounded by about one hectare of estate land
It has a breathtaking view of the green Umbrian hills, and thanks to its position it can be the excellent base to explore the historic and artistic wonders of the centre of Italy.
The Main Building is a 17th century parish church, built in white and pink stone.
The ceilings are supported by ancient oak wooden beams and rafters, the tiles are antique and have been treated with natural wax.
The floor is in terracotta tiles and treated with natural wax, the doors date back to 16th-17th centuries,
The accommodation is on two floors:
On the ground floor you’ll find
- Large living room
- dining room
- Kitchen
- 1 bathroom
- 3 ancient stone fireplaces (one 15th century and one 17th century)
On the first floor you’ll find:
- 1 double room with ensuite bathroom with shower and whirlpool bath,
- 1 double room with ensuite bathroom and dressing area
- 1 double room with ensuite bathroom and a 17th century fireplace
There is a basement, too, you’ll find
- Landry and ironing room
- technical room
- Cellar
Cottage
Built in white and pink bricks; it was formerly a farm annex.
Located on one floor and consists of:
- large living room,
- kitchen,
- two bedrooms with two bathrooms (one ensuite);
- a large brick fireplace dating back to 17th century.
Outside
The big garden surrounding the whole properties, part of the garden is an orchard, while the area surrounding the swimming pool is a young olive tree grove.
Other wood areas include secular pine trees, oaks and olive trees. Slopes are covered with Rosemary.
Swimming Pool measuring 5 m x 15 m and it is deep from 1.20 to 2.80 mt.
The pool area has a 100 m2 paved area and under this area one can find a basement with a bathroom.
Deckchairs and beach umbrellas are available to relax completely in the nature.
Neighborhood
In the neighborhood of Umbria and Tuscany there are a lot of medieval hilltop villages and towns to visit: Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Montone, Citerna or Anghiari.
The most famous Umbrian and Tuscany cities (Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, Cortona, Siena, Florence) are all within an hour drive from the house.
There are various local festivals and events throughout the year, many with a food theme: these are good opportunities to get a feel with local culture.
Every day, in a different town near the house, there is a local market where you can find
- organic vegetables, from local farm
- Porchetta, the typical Umbrian roasted pig (It’s a must you can’t absolutely miss!!),
- pecorino cheese, produced by local cheesemaker
- sausages and salami produced by local butcher
- and much more
